It seems to me that the sun

Drags itself into the heavens

To scorch and sear me.


Can you hear me?


It seems to be that there’s no one

Who could understand

Or even sympathize.


They have arctic eyes.


I don’t know why she and I

Can’t be lovers underneath

The pallid moon.


I’m trapped, too.


I miss you more
