As I mentioned in my first post about In Lonely Lands, my work-in-progress fantasy/horror novel, Sam Patterson, one of the main characters, is a 17-year old high-school student who, despite suffering from mild cerebral palsy, is bright, an avid gamer, and participate in the school theater. Like his girlfriend Alyx Williams (the protagonist of the book), Sam likes music from the 1980’s, though his tastes tend towards New Wave groups like Duran Duran and The Police.
Sam is a bit of a romantic, given to writing poetry, one piece (which he wrote for Alyx), I thought I’d share with you.
